Novel Wave Energy Harvester is used to generate electricity from ocean waves. The inventor has demonstrated the action of a 1 kW bi-stage device in the Indian Ocean. This device has a very High Energy Conversion Efficiency of 55 % and is very sensitive to waves of varying wave dynamics. The technique, known as a bi-stage wave energy converter, is patented in India in 2021. A patent application is filed in the US and EU continents as well.

The device is flexible to scale up to hundreds of kW (MW) and can be installed in deep and shallow water regimes. It can also protect the sea structures against erosion while generating electricity round the clock. The technique, known as a bi-stage wave energy converter, is patented in India in 2021.
