Voice Prosthesis device

ID: VR-03

This medical device is designed to help individuals who have undergone a laryngectomy (removal of the voice box) regain their ability to speak. The prosthesis features a cylindrical structure with washers at both ends—an inner washer at one end and an outer washer at the other. A partial shutter, made of biocompatible platinum-cured silicone, is integrated at one end to control airflow.

The device allows exhaled air to pass through in one direction, enabling voice production, while preventing food and liquids from entering the airway. It also includes multiple support rings and a protective shutter guard for added safety and durability. Designed to be non-invasive, easy to use, and cost-effective, this prosthesis offers a practical solution for voice rehabilitation after laryngectomy.
