The pharmaceutical formulation of the present disclosure has improved patient compliance, and reduced adverse effects. The pharmaceutical formulation of the present disclosure can be used in the treatment of cyclophosphamide induced neutropenia. The present disclosure further relates to a process of preparing the cinnamic acid. The process is simple and economical.
